Meet Daniella.

I believe we are all on a spectrum of wellness. Some days, we may experience wellness, and at other times, moments of unwellness. I want to normalize that we each have our own relationship with what wellness is and where we find ourselves on that spectrum. I want to support each person on understanding what that looks and feels like for them in a way that helps reduce distress and promotes overall well-being.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California, with an office in Walnut Creek, CA. I am a trained psychotherapist certified in Perinatal Mental Health and offer professional therapeutic services covering a variety of issues and concerns. I have clinical experience in the areas of grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, crisis management, suicide prevention, life transitions, parenting stress, and reproductive and maternal mental health. My experiences working in community health, prenatal clinic, non-profit organizations, school settings and providing in-home counseling have prepared me in working with a diverse population of all ages.

My Approach

I use an integrative approach in my work with clients, using a wide range of techniques to find the most effective interventions that meets each person where they are at.

I lean on a trauma-informed, strength-based and social-justice oriented framework in order to provide therapy in a manner that is collaborative, respectful, empathetic and affirming.

I primarily utilize cognitive and behavioral interventions to help clients gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors so they can work towards making helpful and desired changes. This type of therapy incorporates educational components as part of treatment, helping clients learn and try out different approaches to the way they think and act. My work with clients involves examining their beliefs, gaining an understanding of the formation of these beliefs, and taking a deeper look at the connection between these beliefs and the impact on their thoughts, feelings, and actions.

I believe it is important to see how our wellness and functioning are affected by environmental and social interactions. By using a socio-ecological lens, I work with clients to examine and process how relationships with others, within communities, and society at large impacts their emotional and physical well-being. Together, we work to uplift and validate their identity.
